It’s easy to join MyKitPlace.com and become part of this exciting new online marketplace for professional filmmakers. Just sign up on the website or go ahead make your first listing, an account will be automatically generated for you. It’s that easy!

We strongly recommend that all members fill out their profiles with as much detail as possible.

All members to MyKitPlace.com should undergo our vetting procedure. Not being a verified member of the marketplace will mean that other members will be unlikely to let you hire from them, or want to hire equipment from you.

To be a verified member you must be resident in the UK, over 18, provide photo ID and proof of address as well as references.

We then use an identity checking service to verify this information. (We do not conduct a credit check as no credit is offered).

That’s why we also ask for links to websites, showreel sites, social media profiles etc. on the User dashboard. While these are not always hard proof they help build up a holistic picture of a potential member.

The process takes a few hours from the time we receive all the documents. All members go through the same checks as you, so you can be sure it’s a safe place to share your kit.
