Getting paid

As a kit Owner, you will need to link your MyKitPlace.com account to your bank account in order to receive payments. You can do this via your User Dashboard under ‘Admin’ and then ‘Bank Details’.

Hirers input their card details at the time of booking but they are only charged once the Owner has confirmed the booking. Funds are released on a two-week cycle, and so you will receive your payment within two weeks of a confirmed hire. All funds are processed through Stripe, and so we are bound by their payment processes.

Stripe are a leading online payment portal and their services are safe and secure.

You will receive 85% of the total fee paid and MyKitPlace.com will take 15%. Our fee pays for the card processing fee and the cost to run the site (hosting, bandwidth, servers etc.) you receive all the profit from the hire.

If the Owner cancels a hire at any time 100% of the fee is returned to the Hirer. If the Hirer cancels the hire within a 24 hour period, they are still charged 100% of the fee.

You should do your best to help the Hirer find an alternative solution should you need to cancel the hire for whatever reason.
